I Recently Received a Gift From The Carnegie Library of Carnegie, Pennsylvania. i was in their Music Hall playing this Old Piano that has Been in there for the past 100 years. The Story Goes That Andrew Carnegie Gave One of His Pianos to the library. As i was playing the head of the library came in and said that if i could move it i could have. the piano Really shows its age And use. Five Pieces of gum stuck on the under side of the key board and tons of scratches form being in a concert hall for 100 yrs. but i am happy to have it in my home.
My Question is How Much Is It Worth and how old is It.
I could not find anything on it because the serial Numbers for AB chase start 1900
the serial no is 9152
and is AB chase a piano worth restoring
ALSO IT Looks alot like a steinway model a
It is a Six ft Parlor grand- Home Piano
first hint that i took that the records don't lie with the fact that it was once owned by Andrew Carnegie
so whats your opinion and info
